The Department of Image Arts concentrates on computer graphics including special effect visuals in movies, animations and VFX; films; and animation. While each course is distinct, all three courses are closely connected. The techniques involved in turning snapshots into a movie, or turning manga illustrations into animation, require free use of computer-graphics technology. Thus, a comprehensive yet cross- sectional curriculum of filmmaking, animation, and 3D-CGs (special effects, etc.) trains many students to become talented members of the visual image production industry.
