The rapid development of computer technology has greatly broadened the world of visual art, while it also narrows its categories at the same time. This department comprises five categories: graphic design, editorial design, web design, illustration and drawing, and picture book design.
Students are trained to use their sophisticated sensitivity and skills, analytical abilities, and planning and editorial skills as part of a highly integrated educational program specializing in visual design.
In addition to computerized digital media, students are taught the basic skills of drawing by hand so that they be designers with highly comprehensive skills.
