Department of Fashion and Textile Design
Textile Design Course
Fashion Design Course
Fashion Planning Course
The overall theme of the department is to propose lifestyle for clothing, food, housing and leisure as people’s essential life elements.
Clothing, as part of our everyday life, starts as pieces of cloth. The Textile Design Course teaches knowledge of the materials; dyeing and weaving techniques, knitting and printing by having the students make their own items.
The Fashion Design Course involves the creation of items, designs and draping as an essential aspect of what defines us as humans. The Fashion Planning Course examines the processes by analyzing of such basic information as human physiology, psychology and materials, marketing, product presentation, and transmission of information.
Each program trains students to be capable of planning, researching and presenting their ideas in the fashion industry. The department offers lectures and apprenticeships necessary for students to master the necessary skills and develop their sensitivity.
