Admission Information 2009
Undergraduate (Transfer Student)

2. Application Procedures
The following items must be submitted to the Admission Office, accompanied with the entrance examination fee of 35,000 yen (see 6 Schedule).
- Completed Application form in Japanese
- Official graduation or prospective graduation certificate of the school last attended, or proof of qualifications to pursue university level education
- Official certificate of the school last attended which proves applicant was attended from when to when
- Official academic transcript of the school last attended
- Syllabus of the course which applicant wants to transfer its credits
- Letter in Japanese describing why you choose Kobe Design University
- 4x3 cm size photo taken in the last 3months
- Two self-addressed envelopes
- Copy of passport or a letter of identification issued by the government If the applicant is residing in Japan, his/her Certificate of Alien Registration
- Proof of Japanese language proficiency
3. Selection Criteria
The entrance examination will be held at Kobe Design University (see 6 Schedule). All applicants will be notified of the specific time and place for the entrance examination in which applicants demonstrate visual awareness, technical skill and creativity. Selection will be made on the basis of an applicant's previous academic records and the results of the entrance examination and individual interviews by the members of the board. All applicants will be notified of selection results by mail (see 6 Schedule).
All successful candidates will be notified an enrollment year (sophomore or junior) when they receive selection results.

7. Notice
-Applicants residing outside Japan should contact the Admission Office regarding the examination procedure.
-All lectures are conducted in Japanese.
-There are Japanese language courses for foreign students. Tutoring by Japanese students is available.
-Kobe Design University has no dormitory.
